Product Information
Vitamin C is one of the best known nutrients of all and it contributes to a variety of tasks in the body, e.g. for the immune system and energy metabolism or collagen formation. However, it cannot be produced by the body itself, but is mainly obtained from fruit and vegetables.1
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, also known as ascorbic acid.1
Ascorbic acid contains an acid group. Some people who are sensitive to acid groups can react on that. In buffered vitamin C, the acid group is bound via minerals such as calcium. Vitamin C as calcium ascorbate is better tolerated by people with sensitive stomachs.2
