Product Information
The name Antarctic Krill is commonly applied to large populations of small shrimplike crustaceans in Antarctic waters composed of up to 80 species of which about 30 are euphausiids. Prominent among the latter are Euphausia superba.1
Krill oil is a readily available source of the valuable omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), which are bound to so-called phospholipids.
Astaxanthin belongs to the group of carotenoids. It is a red colour pigment that is widespread in nature. Astaxanthin is produced by microalgae or plant plankton. Astaxanthin is responsible for the reddish colour of marine animals.2
With 3 capsules per day of OPTAMINS Omega-3 Krill Oil you reach more than 250 mg EPA and DHA that contribute to the normal function of the heart.
